Web & Social Media Marketing Manager

Job Overview

The Web & Social Media Marketing Manager is responsible for e-Builder’s online presence, including the e-Builder website, social media and public relations outlets. This role coordinates with the other marketing team members to support e-Builder’s marketing efforts, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating an active and growing online presence.  In addition to writing, proofreading, editing and publishing both online and print content, the Web & Social Media Marketing Manager will lead the content management system driven website re-design, launch and ongoing maintenance.  This role works closely with all technical and operations teams to maintain site standards, timely content and targeted SEO results.

Job Duties/Accountabilities of Position

Website, Social Media and SEO

  • Develop, maintain and execute company’s online marketing strategy, including web, social media and content-driven search engine optimization to drive positive business results in our key markets.
  • Create, manage and improve the design, usability, content and demand generation of the company website, maintaining a consistent look and feel for all the company’s web properties
  • Manage day-to-day presence in social networking sites (e.g. e-Builder Community, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and other similar social media sites).  Activities include online advocacy, writing editorial, community-outreach efforts, promotions, posting on relevant blogs, etc.
  • Implement, track, report and improve on all website, search engine optimization, pay-per-click metrics and social media program effectiveness metrics
  • Keep current with emerging web, social media and content management technologies, trends and applications
  • Regularly report back insights gained from social media monitoring to the Marketing and Management teams to help them evolve their strategies in a timely fashion

Copywriting and Content Development

  • Implement the defined messaging strategies to meet business objectives
  • Enforce the defined tone and voice for specific communications, markets, and customer groups
  • Write marketing materials – white papers, press releases, brochures, case studies, e-newsletters
  • Work closely with other marketing team members on key marketing initiatives
  • Work throughout the company to identify gaps in marketing and sales related content

Attributes/Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of the digital landscape, digital communications design principles, and how digital strategies are to develop and support B2B markets and brands
  • Excellent verbal, written and digital communication skills and proven ability to produce concise, compelling B2B communications
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (LinkedIn, Facebook, Digg, Youtube, Twitter, Flickr, etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Experience with and ability to track, analyze and improve search engine optimization, search engine marketing, pay-per-click and social media results
  • Highly organized and effective working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment  requiring thorough research, independent judgment, problem solving, and project management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Possesses functional knowledge or some experience with HTML/CSS and popular content management systems
  • Superior interpersonal skills, creative, energetic, cooperative, and positive attitude
  • Eager to meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility.

Experience/Education Required

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, English, communications, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a business-to-business (B2B) marketing, digital media, public relations and/or communications role
