Professional Services Business Analyst

At e-Builder we continue to grow in size and revenue each year. We are looking for the right person to join our Professional Services team as a Business Analyst to compliment and add to our continued success. You will manage or assist in the implementation of multiple projects in different phases to ensure that project goals and objectives are met within agreed upon time, scope and resources. You will be responsible for the successful implementation and adoption of our product by our clients and its users. Position Overview

This position is responsible for the successful implementation and training of our clients utilizing e-Builder. This includes involvement in all phases of project planning from pre-sales to post-implementation support as required. Position requires strong process and customer focus and ability to implement multiple projects simultaneously.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Successfully engage and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Review, analyse and evaluate business requirements, user needs and functions with the objective of improving business processes and procedures.
  • Trace client problems and ideas to their logical conclusions; from specific to general and from general to specific.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver project deliverables as required.
  • System configuration based upon business analysis to meet the client and project objectives.
  • Project scope and time management to meet project schedule and budget.
  • Prepare any materials and delivery of training required for each client implementation
  • Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time if required
  • Be the liaison between the client, development teams and support teams.
  • All other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

  • 2+ years construction industry experience preferred
  • 5+ years business analyst experience in an implementation services environment
  • BA/BS in business, computer science or equivalent experience; advanced degree a plus

Required Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to address real business problems, not just the symptoms.
  • Ability to blend the temperament and communications savvy of a diplomat with the analytical skills of an intelligence officer.
  • Ability to collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Ability to write Business and System requirements documents that convey complex analysis and solutions clearly and concisely
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers, strategic business partners, and company management
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical documents, diagrams, data models, and process documents
  • Working experience with MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Visio and web technologies
  • Ability to work independently and learn quickly
  • Customer focused and follow through on commitments
